New York State Police said, a 28 year veteran fire fighter, Constantinos "Danny" Filippidis, 49, of Toronto, was found 2,900 miles away Tuesday in Sacramento.

Filippidis was reported missing from Whiteface Mountain, New York last Wednesday by friends who said he could not be found as the resort was closing. His belongings were found at the lodge and his car was still in the parking lot. Since then, hundreds of volunteers have spent about 7,000 hours combing the mountain. Crews used K-9s and helicopters as part of the search.

He was found confused and unable to answer questions as to how he got to California. Ramagano said Filippidis was receiving medical care after calling his wife and then 911. He was found alone and did not have a history of mental illness or substance abuse. The man was found wearing the same ski gear, including the helmet and goggles, he was last seen in when he was reported missing.

The first missing person news report:

Watch the NBC 5 video and let me know what you think! It's worth noting that it sounds like a classic case of spatial and/or temporal dislocation. Common among most alien abduction scenarios... For example:

Travis Walton UFO Incident

On November 5, 1975, Walton was working with a lumbering crew in Sitgreaves National Forest near Snowflake, Arizona. While riding in a truck with six of his coworkers, they encountered a saucer-shaped object hovering over the ground. Walton claims he left the truck and approached it, when a beam of light suddenly appeared from the craft, knocking him to the ground. The other six men were frightened and supposedly drove away.

Walton reappeared after a five-day search.

Very weird story. Definitely feels like a Travis Walton situation. I also wonder if it was somehow involving the US gov and their man-made UFOs.
