For years I imagined making a completely FMV (full motion video) interactive story/puzzle game (think Myst but made entirely with videos). Last year I finally got around to figuring out how to make the game mechanics work, and little by little put together Yeli Orog. The game takes place in Asturias, Spain and was filmed in various locations there.

Quote
Yeli Orog is a FMV adventure game about an immense archaeological discovery: A bizarre stone tablet written in the Celtiberian language found buried underneath an ancient dolmen in northern Spain. The inscription written on the tablet tells a ghoulish tale believed to be the Celtiberian origin myth.

You play the role of Johnny Robin, an archaeologist sent to Asturias, Spain to assist in the recovery of Celtiberian remains. Upon arrival to Asturias you find yourself unexpectedly transported to an alien world, experiencing first-hand the terrifying story written on the ancient tablet.

If you are a fan of Myst-like games, interactive stories with puzzle elements, and FMV games, I think you will appreciate Yeli Orog. If you have any questions about the game let me know.

Here is the steam page, the game will be released on July 13th:

I don't know much about that kind of game, never played one. Did you make it around your place of living?

Yeah, I had been envisioning making a weird game like this for a while, so I decided to take advantage of some nice nearby scenery. I always felt that video has an air of mystery to it, much more so than computer graphics can ever achieve. I wanted to create a game world that was more real than a computer generated world, and give a sense of mystery and strangeness that can't be gotten with computer graphics.

Yes I watched the video and it looks mysterious and intriguing. Maybe I bit creepy for me because I don't like game that would scare the [beep] out of me or freak me out lol xD

Your game look really nice and I hope the players will love it so you continue it and make more storis and puzzles!

About paranormal things, yes. Its about an ancient monster that terrorized northern Spain long ago.

Its not real history, no. Its a mythological tale that I wrote about the Celtiberian people. The story is their origin myth, it explains where they came from.

Online Games are nice, I was a system architect on the Warfighter Intelligence Module (WIM) at the Lockheed Martin Information Systems Facility at Lake Under Hill Road in Orlando Florida. I parked my car in the Southeast parking lot and entered the facility through the security turnstile on the ground level. Through the double door security outer doors, up two flights of stairs to the largest Secure Compartmentalization Information Facility in the Corporate Sector in the United States. The WIM module was a complex system of low level AI algorithms that were to replicate the entire DOD based intelligence system of the United States for the War Fighter Simulations System. The goal of this program was to provide the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States with the ability to simulate the Earth and Weapons systems in virtual combat linked to real word exercises with tanks and airplanes at our National Training Centers as well as air force and army airplane and tank simulators to test advanced concepts in new weapons systems and faster dissemination of intelligence reports from the WIM program via a multi layered virtual security system. The entire system was going to be hooked into our national command and control system for Global Military Operations.

After that job I decided I like fishing and real world hobbies that exercise the body as well as the mind. Games are good but a balance needs to be maintained. I quit and walked out to my car after stacking up my part of the project outside the program managers door, Mr. Fred McClintock's Office Cube.

I walked into the Program Manager of the WIM program and said Fred you know your system is cute, in his office cubical that overlooked the South West parking lot and my car. I said Fred your software module has a fatal error in the binary operating system that overloads because of faulty if then statement right here on your core map of it. After that meeting and five billion dollars of the Tax Payers Money had been wasted on that crap software package, the Department of Defense Simulations and Training Command in Orlando Florida that falls under the Training and Doctrine Command killed the program when it was figured out it would take another five billion dollars to fix it. It was latter written up in Federal Computing News as the greatest failure of a government software program in Federal History. The General in Charge of the Training and Doctrine Command was General Carter former Commander of the United States VII Corps in Desert Storm and the Commander of the United States National Training Center, where I was Assistant Chief of Staff Intelligence Operations and Training and System Architect for the First Successful Combined DOD wide and Space Based Advanced War-fighting Experiment. My commendation for that was signed by General Carter the man that killed the WIM/WARSIM biggest crap piece of software every built by the United States Government.

Among other things I am the biggest Whistle Blower in United States history.
